On the occasion of Republic Day of India, the Flag Hoisting Ceremony will be held at the Indian Embassy premises on Friday, January 26, 2007 at 0900 hours.  This would be followed by singing of patriotic songs by members of the Indian community and an Open House Reception.  All compatriots with families and children are cordially invited to attend. 

I shall be grateful if you could bring this to the notice of the members of your Association as also your other Indian friends and urge them to turn up in large numbers.

Subject: Advertisement for admission to certificate Course in Hindi and Diploma Course in Hindi through correspondence 2005-2006.

The Department of Correspondence Courses of the Central Hindi Directorate in the Ministry of Human Resources Development, Government of India conducts Certificate Course in Hindi and Diploma Course in Hindi. This is for the benefit of Non-Hindi speaking persons residing in India and abroad, through the medium of English, Tamil, Malayalam and Bangla.


The next session of the Correspondence Course starts from 1st July 2005. The Course details along with eligibility criteria and fee payable as well as the application form are enclosed. Last date for submission of application forms is 30.6.2005. Interested applicants are required to complete the procedure and send their application to the address indicated in the form.


All Indian Community Associations in Kuwait are requested to bring the above to the notice of their members.

PRESS RELEASE


Since 19th August 2004 the Embassy of India in Kuwait has instituted an “Open House” facility in the Consular Section, at the Embassy premises, for interaction with members of the Indian community who may have specific issues relating to community welfare and consular matters needing urgent attention. Senior officers of the Embassy would be available for the “Open House” consultations between 3.00 PM to 5.00 PM on every third Thursday each month. All members of the Indian community in Kuwait are welcome for discussion on any important matter relating to community welfare and consular services.

PRESS RELEASE


With effect from 3rd June 2004, the Embassy of India has set up a “Legal Clinic” at the Facilitation Centre of the Embassy to provide legal advice, free of cost, to needy Indian nationals in Kuwait. All Indian nationals are welcome to avail of this service relating to civil matters, death compensation, criminal cases, traffic and commercial cases, etc. The Legal Clinic is run by highly qualified Kuwaiti lawyers and is open from 3.00 PM to 5.00 PM on every Monday and Thursday.
