CONTRIBUTION BY TEF MEMBERS FOR TSUNAMI RELIEF

As said in the above Kurals, our members were spontaneous in responding to the noble cause and had contributed an amount of Rs.3,54,181/- (copies of the DD is attached), reestablishing the uniqueness of the TEF Family.

The committee evaluated various options of routing the funds and finally based on the below mentioned credentials, unanimously decided in favor of the “M S Swaminathan Research Foundation - Tsunami Rehabilitation Programme”.

• The basic mandate of MSSRF to impart a pro-nature, pro-poor and pro-women orientation to a job-led economic growth strategy in rural areas
• Knowing their immediate/ medium / long term tsunami rehabilitation programs
• Their availability in rural Tamilnadu and their reputation in rural development.
